What Happens During the Cleaning
Step 1 — Assess and remove water as needed. The technician documents the starting condition and removes enough water to access sediment and interior surfaces safely.
Step 2 — Scrub. A trained technician physically cleans the interior surfaces — walls, floor, corners, and around pipe entries — to dislodge sediment and biofilm that simple chemical dosing may leave behind.
Step 3 — Disinfect. After physical cleaning, the interior is disinfected using an appropriate chlorine solution and contact time for the service conditions.
Step 4 — Rinse and remove loosened material. Residual debris and cleaning solution are removed before the tank returns to service.
Step 5 — Return to service. The cistern is refilled or returned to its normal supply cycle, with post-cleaning verification as appropriate.
What You’ll Receive
Every cleaning includes before-and-after photos showing the condition of accessible cistern surfaces, a written report noting visible concerns such as cracks, deteriorated waterproofing or damaged fittings, and a recommended next cleaning interval based on the system’s condition and use.
