What We Test and Why
We test at more than one point when useful because the source, storage tank, treatment equipment and tap can tell different parts of the story.
At the cistern or tinaco: Field measurements can help characterize stored water, sediment/turbidity, disinfectant residual and general dissolved-mineral conditions.
At the kitchen tap: This shows what is actually reaching the point of use after plumbing and any installed treatment.
Post-treatment: Comparing feed and treated water is useful for verifying whether filtration, RO, softening or other equipment is doing the job it was selected to do.
When a Laboratory Test Is Needed
Handheld and field instruments do not answer every water-safety question. Microbiological testing and many specific chemical contaminants require appropriate laboratory methods. When that information is needed, MirAqua can coordinate the relevant sampling and lab scope rather than infer safety from a TDS reading or visual appearance.
