MirAqua ("we," "us," or "our") is a water management company based in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México. We operate the website miraqua.mx and provide cistern management, water delivery, smart sensor installation, pool maintenance, and water quality education services.

This site is operated from Mexico. Personal data is governed by Mexican law (LFPDPPP). The authoritative version of our privacy notice is the Aviso de Privacidad in Spanish.

2. Data We Collect

• Contact information: name, phone/WhatsApp number, email address (when you request a quote or use our services).
• Location data: neighborhood or area within Los Cabos (to calculate water plans and delivery quotes). We do not collect GPS coordinates without your explicit consent.
• Site usage data: pages visited, session duration, device type — via Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting, cookieless tool that does not share data with advertising networks.
• Learning portal data: email address, module progress, final exam scores. Stored securely on Supabase with encryption in transit and at rest.

We do not collect credit card numbers or financial account information. Payments are coordinated directly via WhatsApp or bank transfer.

3. How We Use Your Data

Primary purposes:

• Processing and fulfilling service requests (water delivery, cleaning, sensor installation, pool maintenance).
• Communicating with you about your service via WhatsApp or email.
• Sending service reports and documentation.
• Managing your Learning Portal account and issuing training certificates.
• Complying with applicable legal obligations.

Secondary purposes (you may opt out at any time):

• Sending updates about new services or educational content related to water management in Los Cabos.
• Internal statistical analysis to improve our services (using anonymized or aggregated data).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as required to deliver our services or comply with legal obligations. Technical sub-processors include Supabase (learning portal data), Cloudflare (hosting), a self-hosted Plausible instance (cookieless analytics, on our infrastructure), and Resend (transactional email) — each operating under their own privacy policies consistent with international standards.

5. Your Rights

Under Mexican law (LFPDPPP), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the use of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with your name, registered email, and a description of your request. We respond within 20 business days.

6. Cookies

We use a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance — cookieless, on our own servers — for aggregate page views. We may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics. We set session-only cookies strictly necessary for the Learning Portal authentication. No behavioral tracking or third-party advertising cookies are used.

7. Security

We implement TLS encryption on all communications (HTTPS), encryption at rest for personal data databases, and two-factor authentication for administrative access.

We may update this policy at any time. Changes are posted on this page. Significant changes will be notified by email to registered users.
