The MirAqua ultrasonic sensor unit — compact weatherproof housing, ESP32 board visible through translucent enclosure, ultrasonic transducer face pointing down. Shown mounted above a cistern access port.
Mobile phone screen showing MirAqua dashboard — real-time water level percentage, historical consumption graph, next pipa delivery prediction, low-level alert configuration.
Installation detail: sensor mounted inside cistern lid or on mounting bracket above water surface. Shows the non-contact nature — sensor is above water, measuring with sound waves.

Precios
| Tier | Who | Price (MXN) |
|---|---|---|
| Pioneer | First household in your fraccionamiento | $600 |
| Neighbor | After the first install is live | $1,000 |
| Standard | Everyone else | $1,500 |
Be the first on your street — you get the best price, and you prove the value to your neighbors. As more homes in the same fraccionamiento come online, our routing gets more efficient and everyone benefits from lower sensor-optimized delivery rates.
Cómo Funciona
The ultrasonic sensor emits a high-frequency sound pulse downward toward the water surface. The pulse bounces off the water and returns to the sensor. The time between emission and return — measured in microseconds — is converted to distance with millimeter precision.
Since the sensor knows the total depth of your cistern (configured during installation), it calculates the current water level as a percentage and absolute volume. This measurement happens every 30 seconds, 24/7, creating a continuous picture of your water consumption pattern.
What You’ll See
Your MirAqua dashboard shows:
Real-time level. Current water volume in liters and percentage of capacity. Updated every 30 seconds. Accessible from any device with a web browser.
Consumption history. A graph showing water level over time — hours, days, weeks, months. You’ll see the sawtooth pattern of daily consumption dropping the level, pipa deliveries restoring it, and the overall trend of your household’s water usage.
Delivery prediction. Based on your consumption rate, the system calculates when you’ll need your next pipa delivery. It can automatically notify your pipa provider when you reach a configurable threshold — eliminating emergency orders and the emergency premium trap.
Leak detection. If the water level drops when no one is using water (overnight, while you’re away), the system flags a potential leak. A toilet flapper leaking 200L/day shows up as a steady overnight decline that’s invisible to the eye but unmistakable in the data.
Fill event logging. Every pipa delivery is automatically logged — date, time, volume delivered, and source TDS (if paired with a water quality sensor). This creates an irrefutable record for tracking provider reliability and comparing delivery volumes against invoices.
Why Ultrasonic
Ultrasonic sensing is the most reliable technology for cistern monitoring because the sensor never touches the water. No corrosion. No fouling. No mineral buildup. No moving parts. The sensor sits above the waterline and measures through air — the harshest thing it encounters is humidity, which the IP67 enclosure handles indefinitely.
For open-top tinacos or tanks with challenging geometry, capacitive or pressure-based sensors may be better suited. We’ll recommend the right technology for your specific installation during the site survey.
